Since you're not in a hurry continue to do your research by browsing this forum. My advice would be to not lock yourself into one particular year. Let price, availability and maintenance history/documentation assist your decision. Sure, an LS3 6-speed car is awesome but don't shy away from a well cared for L99 automatic. The disliked AFM can be electrically tuned out or completely removed with a cam swap. Not sure of your mechanical abilities or past hot rod history, IMHO you don't need to go MOD crazy to have a fun, enjoyable ride.

I got a 2014 1le with Recaros. Hunt, hunt and hunt. You'll find the right one. I flew to Iowa and drove it back to Denver to get the right car.
I got it through a Chevy dealer so I did have some protection, plus it was certified pre-owned.
I waited til November and prices dropped like a rock.
Mine was listed at $34,000 with 4500 miles in July of 2018, by November it was $29,000.

I like the 2010-2013 taillights vs the 2014-2015 but agreed being stingly for just 2013 may do more harm than good. I have little to no mechanical abilities lol but willing to learn with my dad! Thanks for the tips!!

Great Car! I would definitely be ok with flying to another state and driving it back for a little road trip. I wanna get a test drive in some time.
