a good site for hard to find performance parts for the 3.4L is FTPP.net
a good site for knowledge is firebird******* and their forum is pretty much as close as you'll get to ls1tech for the v6 crowd |

The only mod on my 94 3.4L V6 camaro is an K&N filter. I'll leave the mods to my 3rd gen I'm buying later this week. I'll use the 94 as a second car. maybe down the road when I have the extra money and time, I'll dump some money into the V6 to see what can be done. It's fun the way it is right now, even in the snow.
BTW: my camaro handles fine in the snow for a camaro, its ice that sucks. In the rain, its kinda of fun. |

Well, since you wanted a story...
We've had our '95 since 6/27/95 and have had our '02 since 11/3/01 and both are still factory original without any mods. The '95 is my sister's daily driver and has 90k miles. The '02 is my mom's daily driver and it has 16k miles. We've never wanted to modify either one because they are perfect as is. Fast, sound good, reliable, great cars. If I had a V6, I'd definitely modify it, especially if it didn't have the Y87 package to get the Z28 exhaust pipes, steering rack, etc. I don't like the brown straw exhaust pipe the V6 Camaros came with standard.

hey all, i kinda found this thread to be what im looking for.. it seems the mods on the 3.4l is quite limited, i was looking to put on some exhaust of some sort. I went talked to a local muffler guy today, told me i wouldnt want dual true exhaust on my v6 ( im still learning!) but could still give me dual tips with flowmaster muffler, to me sounds like there are no performance upgrade on doing that.. is there?
im looking to get just about 30hp more.. any ideas? |

Dont get the flowmaster cat back for the 4th gen you'll actually lose horsepower with that catback. Your best bet would be a magnaflow catback IMHO, check both websites I posted above, get headers and intake and throttle body. Then get a good tune. I forget what gears your 3.4L has stock, but they'll have that info on firebird*******. I had the Y87 package on my 3.8L and it came with 3.42's which were great. You can get good shift kit for cheap (transgo) and vette servo's for your tranny (if you've got an A4)
