Thanks guys. I have the Camaro induced perma-grin (even though it's being parked for the winter.) I started it up at the dealership today and it sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I snapped a few pics but they're not great (bad lighting etc) so when it comes home I'll take some better ones. Definitely decided i'm going to get the GFX painted...the dealership wanted $1300 for the privilege, pretty sure i can get a better deal than that somewhere in Edmonton!

bodyshops are real busy here. with the bad weather. to me, i would pay the dealer, since they would be installing them, billing gm warranty. if they scratch it, or wreck it, they fix it. if you have a *X bodyshop in town paint, then take to dealer and shit happens, your beat as they will blame each other leaving you holding the bag.
mind you, i had called ina favor to have a high end shop paint mine, and i installed them, as i didnt want the dealer to skip steps. gm pays 4 warranty hours, and it takes at least 6. it is far from a gravy job for techs, and there are so many ways to cheat. remember when you have them sprayed, you lose GFX warranty. choose carefully.

CamChick any dealer can install your GFX free.... Lakewood charged $600 for painting mine and i bought in Calgary...call the bodyshop there

Nice ...Welcome to the gang...
By the way, hate to rub it in but I called a dealer near Ottawa on June 19 and they told me that a black Camaro SSRS had just arrived minutes earlier . I bought it within seconds ......by phone and picked it up..... on June 22. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO Can't wait for april1st My GFX was installed 2 months later in 3.5 hrs and was part of the option cost, just under 3330$ C TAX IN. As you can see I left it unpainted,as it accents the car's look and I think that the painted GFX will need touchups over time
