The reciprocating saw method works. After practicing on the remaining Bushing on my old Housing, I removed the Rear Cover Bushing with very little damage to the Cover.
Tips:
Cut nearly through the sleeve
Use a High-speed rotary tool (Dremel) to cut the lip
Work carefully with the Hammer and chisel
Take your time. It took about 1/2 an hour to remove

Finally got it all back together over the weekend. Everything seems fine. Made the 60 mile commute to work this morning with no issues. Let's hope for the best.
