I had the Fastlane before I put in the Vortech. We had a dyno day, and the Fastlane was the only intake that didn't have to wait between runs to cool off, it ran IAT the same as the ambient air temps on each consecutive run without letting it cool down. The other guys had to let their cars cool of at least 15 minutes between runs. Here's some pics, by the way, I have this intake for sale. PM me and I'll give you the details.

He is talking about the New Era OTR kit, it is the only kit when the test was done that maintained ambient air temps the entire time. Which matches the topic of this thread "TRUE cold air intake".

The Roto-fab intake gets it's air through this duct while effectively sealing from radiator air. That's why you are seeing such low intake temps with our system. You can feel the duct through your front grill on the driver's side. The duct feeds right around the radiator and straight into our air box. If you wanted any more ram air than that, you could simply cut the face out of the duct pictured. We don't recommend it because of possible water intrustion, but for "fair weather" drivers that insist ram air is the way to go it would definitely fit the bill!
