The dealership was like 2 days ahead of telling me about my build date, then vin #, and ship date. I said he was on the GM dealers site

In my case the car will show up about the second week of Feb. So my plan is to save all I can and make a big down payment. Then put a few thousand miles on it and start adding go fast(er) parts. This way I will be able to feel each parts effect on the seat of my pants and not just the wallet.

Just my $0.02

I voted intake. It's usually the cheapest and easiest mod to buy and install, respectively. CAIs range anywhere from 200 to 500. Personally I wanted the vararam intake, so awaiting the delivery of that. Can't wait

If you're wanting the "GO" affect, don't do a complete exhaust. There's little to no "GO" from a complete exhaust. It's just a sound improvement. The one part that will give you some gains is the X-pipe and removal of the resonators. That should be less than $200 installed. After that, the next "cheapest" HP mod would be a CAI.

IMHO the SS Camaro only lacks in the exhaust department. For the money, nothing will get you performance and sound like a long tube header package. Go to the, V8 Camaro Aftermarket Exhaust Video Clips Compilation , http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289 and go thru the 5-6 pages of exhaust. On page 5 you will find SLP Long Tube videos if your curious.

Wohoo,..
I'm Somebody Now.
I Got My Vin # Today 2G1FT1E.

MuscleDave,...
Yeah I think he was probably looking at the GM Dealers Site too now that I think about it.

I wonder where the Dealership sent your car out to get the Performance mods put on it at. It seems like an aweful long time just for those few of mods to be done to it.

Jonnyb,...
Your Avatar is Awesome,... I like it!
Yeah I kind of Jumpped right in to doing Mods with my Truck Right Away as soon as I bought it so I couldnt really tell what each mod actually did for me, Everything was all done pretty much all at one time right away so i do understand where your coming from.

Ahart04,...
I've been looking at the Vararam Intake's also but I'm waiting to see more real world Data on them and I dont like the fact that the Outside Temp gets to involved with their Intakes, I'm sure that it's aGreat Intake System, I just dont know if I want to pay $150-$200 more for 5-15 HP and that much having to mess around with your intake system to get your car to run right using it so that's why i'm just going to wait until the other guys get theirs to see what they say about it, Also,... I sent out several emails to Vararam dealers asking if they sold their intake kits yet, Not knowing that they werent out to the public yet For Sale and received several emails saying that they no longer sell Vararam product because of the way that they run their business and that their intake systems have inflated #'s and not just from 1 or 2 dealers either, But if it's a Good Product the people here will say so, So We'll see.

Axis,...
Yeah from what I've read the Stock Mufflers are a Pretty Good Straight Throught Design, I have the Borla S-Type Muffler in my Favorites I'll just have to check out the price on the Axle Back System and see how those cost since that'll come with the Tips I'll be needing. I just can't keep the Stock Mufflers on, That's not loud enough for me ...

tjbusa,...
Yeah SLP LT Headers are the Same Headers that the Guy from the Local Performance Shop suggested. I went to that link (Which is Must Have Link in my Favorites for awhile now.) but didnt see a link for the LT Headers just the LoudMouth Exhaust, I go back though and see if someone has it with another Exhaust System though. Your Page 5. and My Page 5. dont line up though I dont think,... I have my fourms setup so I see like 40 Posts Per Page so i dont have a Page 6. but I'll go back though and check it out again.

I'm really surprised that the "Keep Your Car Stock, Theres No Reason To Mess With Perfection." is getting the response that it's been getting really. From the amount of people that I've read that are adding CAI's to their car alone in some of the threads I'm surprised that those people wouldnt at least be doing that to their Camaro's.

Interesting.

Yeah I bet your right,...
There are still some small things that I'd like to do like get a Magnaflow Tru-X 2.50 Inch X-Pipe. AutoAnything.com seems to always have those on sale with Free Shipping, I could have that put on and have the Resonators Removed and Maybe just have them add some Straight Pipe instead of the Mufflers.

Is it Possible to Cut the Stock Tips off of the Stock Mufflers and have them Re-Welded back on to some Straight Pipes and have them look good?

I got an email from them today 01.18.10 "Good for 48 Hours" with the Code EJA1018FAA that takes off 40% off of their "Everyday Low Price List Cost" and another 10% Off All "Orders Over $150.00" Plus Free Shipping. So I was thinking of ordering somethings, A Magnaflow Tru-X 2.50" X-Pipe Possibly being one of them.

Thoughts,... Suggestions,... ??

Hey MuscleDave, Thanks on the Congratz .

So theres a Performance Shop here in Cape Coral eh named JNJ Performance? What does the JNJ Stand for? Any idea?

So is that where the Dealership took your car to have the CAI and Tune done or did you take it there? If the dealership took it there I would have been worried about who the hell was driving my vehicle.

Where are they located?
What type of installs do they do?
Any idea what they charge per hour?

I got an Update from the Dealership over the weekend,... My salesman that I was talking to when I ordered my car no longer works for the Dealership so now i have to deal with someone I dont know there which sucks but from what I've been told the guy I'm dealing with now REALLY Knows his stuff about the Camaro's so that's good news.

I found JnJPerformance on the Internet,... www.jnjperformance.com
Looks like they have a Dyno there also, They charge $75 and Hour to do installs. I wonder if they'll install something if i bring it in to them?

I'm going to give them a call and try to get more details, I'm sure anything that anyone sells locally can probably be bought cheaper on the web.
I watched their Dyno Video with the Turbo SS Camaro, Man you've got to love the sound of a Turbo, It also says at the end of the video to look for them here on Camaro5 but it doesnt give their User name, Just Guessing it's probably something like jnjperformance eh? hehe,...

Looks like a pretty cool shop to deal with and they have to be MUCH Better to deal with then those idiots on Fowler.

Hey Black LS3, yes, the dealership uses JNJ for their mods. I'm not sure what it stands for. its in the NE cape so it's only a mile or 2 away from Roger Dean. The guy that owns the gym I go to had his magnum done there, and is very picky, and spoke highly of the the guy Justin over there. If you google jnj cape coral his website will come up. they do everything from everyday driving cars to full track cars. His website even said he built the marias Italian restaurant mustang with over 700 hp to deliver pizza on time. I talked to him about a supercharger. He said about 1400 to install plus the maggie charger (about 6500 if I get it). Just going to enjoy the car for now. took the wife to Fosters grill for cheeseburgers. Everybody checks out the car or wants to race. You'll see soon enough

Yep,.. I'm going to have to give them a call for sure since they are so close to me. Again,... I hope their attitude is totally different than that other shop i keep talking about, It'd be nice to have a good relationship with a High Performance Shop and when ever you wanted to have something done on your Camaro you'd always have someone to call.

Have you seen them on the Forums at all by chance?
I'm still confused as to which CAI I want to get, Have more people gotten their Vararam yet? I need to go back and get caught back up in that thread again and see whats going on with the defects now.
