Don't worry about what other people say just enjoy your Camaro I know I do. Even if it breaks it means nothing. Nobody never promise to build the perfect car. If it was then this will be the last Camaro.

I agree with all the comments above. I have NEVER had a problem with mine and absolutely LOVE IT! I have owned several cars, including 3 other older model Camaros, and this one is by far the best ever. It is a joy to drive and I, too, look for reasons to go out, just to drive it. You won't be disappointed with your purchase.

To the OP>>>

Where did you get your info??? A honda forum? A mustang forum?

only 1 minor recall that I know of (only applied to a SMALL #'s of early SS's)...a few of TSB's...but EVERY car has TSB's. Car handles fine...no problems...what are you waiting for...GO BUY ONE!

Whoever your source is, they are misinformed.

There was 1 recall for the battery cable at the very begining of the launch. I'm not aware of another one.

The car rides and handles like a dream. Some of the magazines are saying the turn in on a Mustang for example is better, but that in no way makes the Camraro bad.

The quality of the car is quite good. There are many more posts of people that have had no problems than there are of those that have. And those that have had problems have had them quickly resolved.

Do your own research, the car has been evaluated by all the major magazines against the major competitors and Consumer Reports has even reviewed the Camaro. You will find it shines in all of those reviews and wins in all but a couple where the Mustangs smaller size and lighter weight seems to be a plus. Not for me by the way.

AND you are in one of the best spots to ask questions about this great car. There will be no shortage of quick and honest feedback if you find you have specific questions.

Buy one - you'll love it. I'm very picky about buying new stuff and avoiding problematic things with teething problems. So I waited half a year or so to see how things shook out.

Everyone was loving them so much and pretty minimal issues going on so I jumped on one that was built in the last week of Nov '09. It's perfect, awesome Inferno Orange paint - probably the best painted GM car Ive ever bought. Powertrain is awesome, LS3 is flat out an incredible engine... Couldn't be happier with buying mine.

Get a 6 speed manual SS in your favorite color, add a great sounding exhaust... and you won't be able to stop driving it or get the smile off your face.

On the handling topic, sure - on a track, pushed to it's limits something like a Corvette will carve the corners better. Because the vette is a lightweight sports car. The Camaro is a Pony/Muscle car. Track cornering isn't number 1 priority. But on the street, canyon running, bombing around the mountains and country curvy roads, the Camaro is plenty fun to drive and handles real good. You just don't want to push it 10/10th on the street.

Take a test drive in a Challenger and then a Camaro. You'll appreciate how well the Camaro handles.

I am going to buy a 2SS RS 6-Manual soon. And from what I've read and heard and seen.
The Camaro has way below average 1:st year problems, compared to many other cars. Specially in the performance segment.. So the minor things that have been seen, and most of them are corrected into new prod vehicles.. Are not worth worring about in my opinion.. And yes. My 2007 Roush 427 R has been sold a while ago. Now I am just saving, and waiting for good timing for order. To have delivery Spring/Summer .. Good luck there..

I test drove a Mustag GT Premium and a Camaro 2SS the same week when I was shopping. I agree with you, the Camaro is the best looking car EVER and I wanted a Camaro, but I thought I should drive a Mustang too to make sure I wasn't doing something dumb by buying the Camaro. I thought the Camaro cornered MUCH better than the Mustang. It just felt like a better car all around.

You only read about problems because that's what people tend to report. If you read these forums you will find that most people love their Camaros.
