Just a few days ago Bob Lutz of GM was quoted as saying the V-8's were, contrary to GM's predictions, "80% of sales."

The latest Spastic Squirrel numbers show V-8's are 62%.

There seems to be a disconnect here too.

It was almost 80 % of pre orders but is slipping as the cars approach 100,000 units.

Bob was right the last time some one told him.

i bought aqua blue because it closely matches my company colors, glad to see it's the rare one and discontinued, what luck

Seeing those numbers makes me REALLY happy I ordered my Aqua Blue metallic with the RS/SS package with the V8 motor

NOT TO mention the fact that the aqua blue is discontinued booyahhhh!!! already a classic and mine was delivered in Aug 09...

I'm just glad I have my car. It's #1 of 1 for 2010 camaros owned by me. Thats unique enough.

I might have a rare one. 2LT Aqua Blue Manual Tran. Two things I don't understand, 1) I had a 68 that was almost the same color as the one I now have. Then I think it was one of the most popular colors and now it is one of the least ordered. 2) Why would you discontinue a color with in the first 8 months it was offered?

I guess what it's really telling me is if something were to happen to my car I can get another one just like it.

Hmmmm...... 119 Camaro's just like mine now. Was better back in the day when it was like 1 of 8 nationwide. I'm still one of a kind in South Carolina through. No wonder everyone always knows where I am all the time.

I believe the difference in numbers may be attributed to the difference between the number of cars produced versus the number of cars delivered. Dealer stock and those in transit....
