Well I still have not got my car repaired yet. The service guy said GM put indefinite on the time to get the recall done. There is a big GM dealer in OKC that has the supercharger and parts in stock but they would not let the dealer here have it. That sucks to! I told the service guy he should tell GM to tell the dealer who has one to give it up to my dealer. He would not do it though. So I just sit and wait now. I hope I do not have to wait much longer.

So what is the specific term of the coverage of this? Mileage or time limitation for coverage?

From my understanding GM had so many problems with the isolator they extended the warranty for ten years from the date the car was put into service. I just got under the gun on mine as the warranty expired december 1st of 22. Glad I took it to them but not too happy that they cannot get parts now.

So basically all the involved cars are soon going to be out of coverage?

That is exactly what happened to me. My warranty ran out december 1st of 22 but I went into the dealer service dept. and they told me I just barely got in in time.

No biggy, plenty of options including repair. Try finding a rear end

Maybe we should just keep our eyes open to find a used car to buy as a parts donor and keep in parked nearby.

If you need one there is one in the ZL1 parts section for sale. If that one is gone I know where another one is. Maybe two.
