My tuner doesn’t like the chiller. He tells me if it’s frosting like that on the lines, then the brick is freezing and dropping water and ice on the rotors. He told me he’s replaced a few hellcat motors because the supercharger locked up because of the chiller system.

Huh. That’s super interesting. I haven’t heard that before. I have heard that it’s smart to shut off the AC a few minutes before parking it and making sure the IC brick heats up and dries off before shutting the motor off so that the condensate can’t drip.
That being said, my IC brick is below my supercharger so I’ll never have to worry about rotor problems. But I still don’t like the idea of condensation dripping onto the lower intake or down into the intake valves. So I try to dry it off before I shut it down. |
