I put a video of me playing acoustic guitar on you tube 18 YEARS ago and it's only up to 6K views. Apparently I didn't get the promotion, how-to memo.

My band preforming has 252 views after 17 years- I probably preformed that song live more than 250 times. Still, I love the process and creating and editing, for me it's something I enjoy and do for myself. Of course, I want others to enjoy my work too, but I'm my first audience. I have a lot of friends that work in social media. They film car reviews for big publications and get national coverage, travel all over Asia to check out new cars and exhibitions. I don't want to rely on their help to boost myself. They also teach me a lot about self promotion, but I just want to do it my way. I hate the 30 second vertical loud and annoying clips. However, as a part time actor, I have filmed a handful of annoying facebook ads that are just like that. If you have seen those ads where someone is playing a game and talking about it, it could have been one I filmed- I can't complain- it pays for car parts! |
