puzzling, i maust say...have a 67 chevelle ss 396, with jet hot ceramic headers and flowmasters coming thru 2 1/2 exhaust and there is no way i can drive this car around town and enjoy for a couple hours a day . TO DAMN LOUD CRUISING AT 50 MPH. have to play music at its next to loudest setting and i have a 700 watt amp....are you telling me that all these supercharged roush , shelby stangs are running around with headers? cadillac? is there no way to keep this car a sleeper at the red light without sounding like a 55 nomad...i must be missing something ....do they make a sc exhasust manifold? i can,t have a cell phone converstion in my ss cruising over the exhaust...

and yes it is rhino undercoated inside and out on a frame off... along with dyno mat...still to loud to pull up next to someone and sit idling at 7k rpm

what i have taken from this question, spend 1.2k on lt -gain 10 hp.......spend 850 on cat back with or without mufllers get no hp gain....spend 2+k on lt and catback get 15-20 hp.... am i missing anything. ? oh yea " something about potatoe but i can get that out of my garden...i see there are hi flow cats on market , any input on this....if i pull up next to you , i want you to see me , not hear me..and then i want you to see tailights ...

I have the TVS2300, CAI and Borla Cat back and it is perfect for me. It has the perfect sound without the headers. I was checking into headers before my LPE build but they told me I didn't need them. It doesn't look like any of their FI builds include headers. My last car had LT headers and flowmasters and was loud as hell - not this time.

thats what i, saying , i also looked at lingenfelter, and they don,t put headers on till they get into the 840hp package, they do start bldg internals and heads @700 hp. but they have 4 lower pkgs without headers up to the 840 hp.........i understand that backpresure is not good for sc as it needs to dissipate fuel burn due to ls3 compression...sorry to turn this into exhaust posting , but this is best place to get these answers...i was hoping to get some input from whipple and kb on this forum as they are both coming to market very soon. i think they should share some input here on there systems , with insight since they have been bashing each other systems over the last 2 days...how about some constructive info for a change.thanks
