Man that’s kind of a condescending post ^^^ post you don’t know the guys skill levels or his past ownerships of cars. I’ve been modding my car for years cam, heads, headers, multiple shifters, exhausts, differentials (1LE 3.91 to Z28 3.91), aero, body mods and the clutch there’s not a lot that hasn’t been tinkered with over the last 15+ years.
First thing I would do is ditch the shifter and get a MGW one, car should have been built like that from day one!!

But no one calculates valve events to see how much overlap there is. They do not realize how a supercharger can overheat without increased cooling and how the increased horsepower also requires increasing drivetrain components which are out of reach to handle the loads. Transmission bearings cannot be changed from rollers to TDO, straight cut gears cannot be changed to helical, and there are no parts available for a ZL1 differential if you blow one up. A vendor can offer a clutch with higher rated springs but that will do nothing when all that increased pressure is put on straight cut gears. Same with connecting rods and bearings.

Drive it the way you received it. Learn its limits which are pretty high. Enjoy the fact you don't have a pile in your driveway because you thought you are an automotive engineer with an engine dyno.
That’s a stupid post. Plenty of people mod the shit out of their cars and they are still very reliable. I get and respect leaving it stock if that’s what you're into. Not everyone is into that, modding doesn’t = Armageddon.

No ZL1 parts available? You must still be on dial up.

Wow, that's a pretty ignorant statement to make! Not EVERYBODY as you stated knows how to do any engine mods to their cars, so they probably are not going to go to Harbour Freight and buy tools for that! Some people are "purists" and like to just leave their cars as is and enjoy it that way, but most of us are gear heads and love to mod the car and make it look, and perform better than it was factory. Everybody does their own thing..

Thanks guys, I appreciate the assist. Just to clarify, I grew up around cars and have turned my fare share of wrenches. I'm not trying to make a 1000hp track only monster. I just like to tinker and add my own customization to my vehicles. 70T/A400 No need to be a d-bag about it. If you can't bring some constructive criticism, then there's no need to comment.
