I used the G2 kit on my car and my buddies 15 S550. Cant recommend it enough. Looks great years later, easy to clean. Definitely follow directions and move quick. I had the whole car up and all 4 wheels off and just did coats as I circled the car.

I don't remember how much they cost but they weren't cheap. I did tell Drew to rebuild the caliper with Z06 vented pistons. I guess i was the first person to request this but with a little assistance and researched we were able to find the right stuff. I want to say with the stripping and cleaning of the caliper, powdercoating and rebuild with Z06 pistons they were 250/300 each. Maybe more maybe less. Don't remember. But its over a year and theyre still super clean. Even sent additional graphic stickers.
Man, those turned out nice!!

Thanks for the responses and photos guys. As for me and my car.. she is only a V6 and I have no intention of upgrading the calipers and/or spending over a grand just to have them powder coated or rebuilt. Ha! I still have a 3.91 rear end plus parts to go with it that has been sitting in my garage for about 3 years now that I never gotten around to doing yet. Life just keeps happening and other events have occurred that has delayed the install.

That is exactly what I plan to do! Will clean and prep the calipers with all 4 wheels off the ground. Will post before/after pics when the time comes. Waiting for the G2 paint kit to arrive and more likely will get to it in January providing the weather is not too cold here in Florida. Today will be in the 70's which would've been a perfect day to do it.

lol. Doesn't matter if she is only a V6! She IS still a Camaro!! Gotta love that! Just a note, back when I had Madison Coatings do mine, they had an exchange program where you pay 600 bucks up front to have them done, they used other cores people sent in, they rebuilt them, coated them your color, sent them to you, you install them and send yours back to them, they would inspect them, if good, would send you back the 300 dollar core charge, so they only cost me 300 bucks to have them done. I don't think they still do the Camaro ones though, not too sure. They were located in Wisconsin. You should be good with the time frame you plan on doing yours temp wise. IIRC the instructions list an optimal temperature range to use the kit successfully.. Good luck, she's gonna look great!

Yeah, definitely wait for decent weather. We did all 8 brakes on both My ss and his S550 at the same time. Funny enough, he did most of mine and i wound up painting most of his. I LOVE how easy they are to clean now. Just a wipe with a damp rag and they look bright red again

We all know that way too well.

Last year this time, I purchased my shortblock. A month later my miniature dauschund started having issues due to IVDD. Ended up needing back surgery because it got so bad she turned into a paraplegic. Wife was pregnant at the same time stressing out. Anyways every place wants 13-15 grand for it. March we found a place and got the surgery done. Had a baby in April. So definitely have the life lifing thing going on lol.

I put my dog down of nearly 15 years with her on July 4th recently. Tried to save her but couldn't. Money spent. I will never forget it. I was with her during her final moments. Stings like a bee. She was a New Zealand Huntaway... Then my daily driver a 2015 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X I had built for overlanding.... was totaled on my driveway on Sept 2nd as of earlier this year... Still hurts to this day. Rebuilding life at the moment... I am sorry for the troubles you experienced... and am glad you survived it all!
