I don't like the headlights either. I think the C7 is overdue.
Got to drive it , before you knock it

Maybe. The plus side to the vette is its weight though. 600lbs lighter equals about 120HP gain over the camaro right?

If you think the SS can even keep up with a Vette since you seem to keep comparing the powertrain then you have another coming your way.. That Grand Sport weighs 3300, and oh yeah the real hp rating on that car is 436 not much but you get where I'm going..

Too you, you think the camaro is a god and thats fine and good but don't let you opinion mess with the fact that the camaro isn't even close to being in the same league as a vette.. That vette right there will run the brakes off of a Ferrari 430 now when the camaro can come close to touching any supercar then you can call it better. And thats why people pay the money for a world class car like the Vette... Supercar performance for a third of the price..

So Indpowr, you look like you have both. How much faster is the vette? Does it have the LS3 like the Camaro? What are the speed and handling differences that you notice.

We do own both. Corvette is mine and the Camaro is mainly the wifes.

100% different car

The Corvette is:
HP is much more violent when it comes on
Power curve pulls longer and harder
Steering is more responsive (point and shoot)
Brakes on a dime with not much fading
Your more in touch/tune with the car
Car is and feels A LOT lighter

and Better gas mileage.......

I like the Camaro, but I love my Corvette.

So what, its more to a car then the engine and if thats what you are basing you opinion on then I'm sorry I have to believe you don't know much about cars.. About the gearing, or suspension, or oil pump which the car you put up has a dry-oil pump big difference. What about the components used to make it a lighter car, what about the exhaust.. All different and better then the camaro and while the camaro may be a quick car the vette is FAST.. I know of base vettes running a quarter mile at 12.2.. Camaro will never being able to do that without mods. You get what you pay for and thats the difference in the cars..

Geez, go away. I was just wondering how vette sales were doing.

I owned a regular C6 and a C5 Z06 - that was the fastest car I ever owned. The weight makes all the difference, just a different type of car. I must admit, seeing the regular C6 next to the new Camaro makes me think that it's time for a updated Vette look! I love both, but can't wait for my Camaro! Of course the C6 Z06 is in a class of its own
