If you please your Wife with flowers and chocolate on V-day, she doesn't mind if you watch the big race!

For me..Daytona 500, her V-day. But with the invention of the DVR we had both. I took her to lunch and a movie for V-day, and when we got home we watched the race...commercial free.

I only live about 15 minutes from the track, I have lived here my whole life (41 years) and have only been to the track once, on a calm day I can hear the race and see the jets and blimps fly over my house, good enough for me! I stayed at home with my husband and watched the last hour on t.v. Neither of us are big race fans, we like V-day better i guess.

It is sometimes, but if I need to go any where in Daytona during race times it is almost impossible to navigate. But I am lucky I guess.

Had the best of both worlds...Daytona 500 with 20 friends...then after the second delay of the 500, came home and cooked the GF dinner and watched movies.
