wow, im glad your ok, by the looks of it, your car should be easily repaired, just getting the HID replacements will be a pain if the car needs replacements.
As long as that post didnt do too much damage to the bottom and to the frame, she should be fine
I was scared when i opened this thread, thought it was going to be another total, thank god it wasnt

Hairs and blood were specifically looked for. The accident was not charged against me.
not sure in your state since insurance laws vary so much state to state, but here if you avoid the animal and go in the ditch and mess up ur car it's an at faut accident charged under collision....if you just hit the animal and don't swerve to miss it then it's an act of god and chargeable under your comp insurance. I know as hard as it is u just gotta hit your breaks and don't pay attention to the animal, just keep it on the road.

Did you happen to get the plate on that deer? They tend to hit and run a lot...

Sucks about the car. At least you are ok. Bumpers can be fixed, lives can't be replaced.

Your car WILL be fixed.. I forgot to mention in my previous post that back in the early 90s I had a deer jump from a ditch and roll over my 1984 Camaro Berlinetta from the hood all the way to the trunk...

It wasn't pretty but I lived to see another day and when the car came back she looked as good as new.

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...

I swear deer cause more accidents than just about anything else. Given the number I see dead on the highway, there's probably more killed that way than by hunters....

me too

Had an almost identical accident in my silver SS last night. Deer took out front right corner. Argh. At least my insurance is only $250 deductible, there were no injuries, car is still driveable, and no frame damage (that i know of). But deer did dent the corner panel and passenger door too. Guess they're getting me back for all the deer I've killed hunting. :/

Have seen too many of these stories on the board lately, wonder if we should start a "Wrecked" thread?

Sorry about the car friend, looks like an easier repair than the last few posted. Good luck.
