When I saw John Stewart get choked up a few days later on the Daily Show, it really hit home how horrible these acts of violence were.

I will never forget that morning, waking up and thinking a Cessna had hit the WTC;at that point all they knew was a plane had hit the building(s).

I could never have been so wrong and will never forget.

I'll never forget that day. Never.

God bless those lost that day, the families who lost their loved ones, and those who fight for our country everyday here AND overseas.

Acts of terrorism like this, I pray, will never see US soil again.

I had gotten off of work early (about 3AM since I worked the late shift) and was home sleeping. Got a phone call from my supervisor at work and all I heard was bits and pieces of the call. Basically heard "plane crash, stay reachable" My basic reaction was OK, going back to sleep now. Woke up about 3 or 4 hours later and turned on the tv and realized what the phone conversation was about.

A month later, I was sent out of the country.
