I wanted USA to win, but I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan and Sidney Crosby is the best, so I was happy for him when he scored the winning goal.

As a Canadian it is your right to speak without fear.

Anyway, I don't see it as fair weather patriotism. This has been an occasion to let it show after its been rising for years. Will some of it die off? Sure. But I don't see things going back to where they were a year ago or a decade ago.

Okay, I'll bite. Who's patriotism are you offended by? I'm assuming you know someone IRL who's posted here, and think they're being duplicitous. Point 'em out! We'll take care of them!

Thank you to the Americans who started, and replied to this thread, and let me tell you it is much appriciated, at least by "TRUE CANADIANS" .

I noticed your team had very disappointed looks on their faces, during the medal ceremony, like the world had just ended. Be rest assured your team has NOTHING to be ashamed of, and that was proven in the first game, when you beat US.

This is a geat rivalry, that will carry on for generations to come, and I will not get bored of it.

Well said, and Thank You, you MUST have some Canadian blood in you (hint hint)
I am also VERY PROUD of every athlete that competed in the Olympics, and enjoyed the sights of their family & friends' support.
This is the true meaning of bringing the world together.
