That's definitely the wrong color. Get them to fix that.

They may have tried to paint match to OEM specs---with the wrong color. GM and even Camaros in general have had a few different reds over the years. My fourthgen is Bright Rally Red, whereas the new ones are Victory Red. Hope you get it worked out!

Sorry to hear about the paint job.

The grille definitely appears a shade or two off.

A clay bar will typically remove overspray. Back-in-the-day it was called painters clay and was used to remove overspray. Hopefully, they will not have to buff off the overspray. Look over all of the sharp corners before you leave with the car to make sure they did not burn the paint.

Well, based on the picture, YEA!!! the color is different. I went and looked at other cars with the heritage grill and didn't notice as much of a difference on those as your appears to have. Check the C5 posts to see what you think. There are several threads and updated pics. Just have to look around.

are you going to change the bottom grill too?..doesn't really match it, IMO..Heritage looks good, though...color match OK.

Definitely the wrong color. Glad you confronted them on it, and that they're going to fix it!!!

Please keep us posted on their progress.

I guess I got lucky. I took my grille to the shop and they painted it without even seeing the car. I was kind of scared about matching RJT, but it's a perfect match. Then again, pretty much every panel looks a little different in RJT so maybe I'm just used to it!

If you're not happy, get it fixed. If not it will bother you every time you look at it. Besides, they should be jumping through hoops to make you happy after the overspray.

I show up this afternoon to pick it up, and they are just finishing the "detail", but guess what its not shiny!!!!! Primer overspay over the whole car. on top of that to me the grille doenst seem to be the right color.. Im pissed. the car is now back at the shop for god knows how long as they say they will remove the overspray. good news is no more bubbles bad news is overspray everywhere and the wrong color grille.

does the grille look like its the wrong color to you guys?

It looks like your car is wearing lipstick.
