Bro no offense but if you like D2 wheels and design which I think you do, the lambo and my car. Why go and have one company copy a design that another company has, there is no substitute for the real thing.

I see what you are saying but they are not copying the design they are different than the D2's in a style that they offer that have a "similar" look. Both companies make very nice wheels but the iconz are more affordable for me and that is why I chose them.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm sure you understand how inflammatory this post looks, with all these pictures of our cars posted, and another wheel company wheel making "similar" wheels to ours.

As a point of clarification, there is a reason our wheels carry the pricepoint that they do:

1. In House Assembly - We inspect, assemble, calibrate and true our wheels IN-HOUSE at our facility here in NY. We do not simply drop ship a wheel from a third party to you sight unseen. Seddon has visited our facility and can attest to that.

2. Seal of Authenticity - Each of our wheels carries a seal of Autheniticity with Unique Serial number (for EACH CUSTOMERS SET), to ensure your custom product can be tracked and verified for years to come. If you ever need a replacement lip, or even sell the wheels you can rest assured that every specification of your wheels is on file for years to come.

3. Vehicle Specific Fitments / Styles - We target each demographic when designing a wheel, thus our wheels have that "look" that you were so attracted to. Trust me it is not merely a coincidence that the products have the breathtaking apearance that they do.

I'm not really sure how you capture that essence if you are simply coming behind another company and promising to deliver a "similar" wheel.

4. Proven Track Record - We have established a consistent track record of success with actual wheels installed on actual CAMARO-SS vehicles with great results. We have been in existence, under the same company name since 2004, with NO ISSUES. This is a very large consideration when spending 4, 5, and 6k on wheels.

I will be extremely frank and earnest with you, these types of purchases are as much about the prestige of the item, as anything else.

We have worked hard to infuse class, prestige and exclusivity into our product, and our customers reap the rewards when they put a set of our wheels on their car.

I sincerely hope that one day, even if not today, you get the chance to reap those same rewards. For this amount of money I hate to see you, or anyone else settle for a product simply because it costs a little less.

I wish you all the best with whatever product you ultimately choose

I understand what you are saying and I apologize if this thread came off the wrong way.. The pics were mainly posted to show what a 1.5 and 5" lip looks like on a car and I wanted to see how people thought these lip sizes would look on a Camaro. I meant no disrespect to your company just wanted to get some opinions mainly on lip sizes, not your exact wheel.

Maro99, I have to agree with Seddon and D2. There is no substitue for the real thing and when your paying for top tier wheels, you should get top tier wheels. When you are spending over $4k+ for a set, you are making a substantial investment into your Camaro, so why not invest that with a premium company with a phenomenal reputation.

My personal experience thus far with D2FORGED has been fantastic! Derrick and Stefan have taken their time to help me feel confident about their product and with great guidance, finally helped me make my decision.

After countless hours spent browsing and comparing companies (not just styles), I chose D2 to make my wheels!

Derrick/D2 has top-notch business ethics and honesty. I've never had D2 attempt to steal a sale from me as a dealer. Some brands like to undercut the prices of their dealers, and do some shady background/email stuff to try and get the full sale themselves. This never happens with D2, and I'm glad to be a dealer for them.

how do they say it, "imitation is the highest form of flattery"?

no doubt both wheels are great, competition is good, but being able to satisfy the customer is what it's all about... if someone in a lambo feels good about spending $10,000 on a set of wheels that can be duplicated for $3,000, so be it
