This is JohnnyCamaro A.K.A. John Cox and I work as a marketing specialist for GM Accessories and GM Performance Parts. The picture shown is not representative of what we will be offering. The board images you see were made up for internal reviews for people who did not have an understanding of what a catback exhaust was. The Camaro "catback" will actually be mufflers and tips available for V6 and V8 applications. We will also have an "Off-Road" version for those who want to have a unique sound while off-roading your Camaro.

The DI V6 sounds like a accord, not saying thats a bad thing, but does not turn me on like a V8 does

Welcome JohnnyCamaro! Glad you're on board with us, hope to hear a lot of stuff from you once the Camaro launches, we're all pretty psyched about the Acessories and Performance parts. Very cool!

I heard someone mention the GMPP Camaro exhaust was being done by Borla not long ago. I can't remember who said it though.

If this car is truely straight pipes from the manifold (not a single split with a Y) then you will not be getting much if any HP gain from a "cat back" the biggest restriction on most systems is the mid pipe to Y pipe design. If this car doesn't have that then this is more for sound then anything else. Sure you could have a slightly less restrictive muffler but if it nets 2 whp it would be a lot. Look at the NPP exhuast option on the Vette. "Less restrictive" exhaust gives the car 436 hp vs 430. So at the crank it gave 6 hp which is nothing at the wheels.

Don't fall into the idea that these are going to make crazy power for you. They are sound only, and to differenciate you from the rest. Now a full set of long tube headers with high flow cats (or no cats) and larget diameter pipes is a whooooole different story

Ok. Now that makes sense.

Hmm so the GMPP Cat-back is just going to be mufflers and tips huh? We need headers, & high flow cats!
