Sport Mode and 1st gear

So is there ANY difference between being in drive opposed to sport mode?

No There is no diff. The Computer is still in control.

What do you guys think about moving from D to M (Tapshifters) in the middl of driving? Any strain on car?

You can switch from D to M to M tapshift whenever you want while driving. But I don't switch from D to Tapshifts while running wide open. I usually let off the gas for a second. But when you switch over to Tapshift it starts you out in a pretty high gear (5th or 6th gear) when cruising. Then you always have to tap down into a better gear. So the computer is thinking and it puts you in a very safe gear from whatever speed your going.
