I don't have a camera :( It's has black stripes with like a yellow stripe as an outline. It doesn't look bad, I just hate yellow. To be honest, I didn't even notice it until my friend pointed it out. It just irks me a little.
Thanks to everyone for letting me know. I'll just stick with what I have. It's still beautiful. |

Take the Yellow off and add other mods to your car.. I agree painting it would be a sin. be happy with what you got and maybe down the road trade it in for a Z or something.

hmmm, I think silver could look good. I have black and LOVE it. But if I was in you situation, rather than messing around with the factory paint job I'd change up the stripes or something.

Please please please don't go to Maaco. Painting your entire car with a quality shop will cost around $10,000.

I was just thinking that!
I've seen at least 1 silver/black two tone. Can play with it some. But I still wouldn't "get Macco"! Quote:
Edit: SIM is beautiful!

you be better off selling buying a new one the cost diff would be cheeper than still a good paint job and you wont have any regrets but be prepared to keep it clean, silver is the easiest to maintain and could look amaazing with the right mods

I've had quite a few friends use Maaco and were satisfied with the result - but their standards were a LOT LOWER! They do a decent job if you want a cheap <$2K paint job, but they're more for lesser valued cars - like a 1995 honda civic, not a 2010 camaro.
You have a new car wth a great paint job - don't cut corners and use Maaco. If you do you'll regret it and the cost to replace what you did will be significant! Also think of resell value - 1995 Civic with 120,000 miles, Maaco job brings value up, 2010 Camaro with 20,000 miels, Maaco brings the value down, way down!

Earl Scheib will paint it for $69.00.I had a Dodge Omni painted black by him.He told me it was done and when I picked it up the paint was still wet, upon driving home,I hit a swarm of flying Gnats. When I arrived home they were all imbedded in the paint! I don't know if he is still around, but if you don't want to invest alot of money, try him, just make sure paint is dry before driving your car home!

Macco has got to be the worst possible place to take your car to be painted, especially since you probably wouldn't be doing the prep work yourself. Also you may think you want a Black car but after a few years of having black you'll regret it. The weekly washing & waxing gets old quick, and any blemishes on the car will be noticeable. You're much better off keeping the silver and just adding black stripes and other appearance mods.
