Wow, flawed way of looking at it. Lets cost them more. I'd tow it too!

If you bring a car to them and say "hey dummies something is wrong with my car" and they say "well we dont know what it is" wtf are you supposed to do. Park it for 10 years?

Thats the whole point of the warranty in the first place.

Why would I drive it to another dealer about 30 miles or more away and risk having the engine tore up anymore than it may be when this dealer/GM have talked about replacing it anyway? I don't want to screw them over they have not given me any trouble.

Wow didn't mean to start crap was just looking for advice on IF they decide to replace the engine let them or argue that I want a new car.

Yes as of now they can't find the cause/problem but they haven't told me "well sorry we can't find anything wrong although we hear it to and know something is wrong, so guess you are SOL." They are still trying to come up with a solution between the dealer and GM.

If they didnt tell you not to drive it or give you a loaner car what else are you supposed do?

If it nicked a cam lobe or spun a bearing its not going to get much worse.

I would call them and see if they will at least give you a car to drive while they figure out what they want to do. I mean you are paying for the car and it is warrantied. Thats what they are supposed to do.
