recycled

i recently took 23 years of hot rod and car craft to recycle them. :( i had about 1000 lbs of magazines. I never looked at them again. The biggest pita i had to move; worse than weight bench! i kept them as a "resource" but with al gore inventing the internet you can find anything in 3 seconds!
i tried craigs list, ebay, and the local shopper. I couldn't even give them away. :(

Isnt there a program to send them to soldiers in Iraq and stuff? they may be older but you never know who may collect them too.

Good thought on the soldiers. A person at work is always sending items so I will ask her tomorrow.

I think It's a great Idea. They get recycled and the money goes to a good cause.
Sounds pretty cool, money is constantly needed for cancer research, day by day scientists are getting closer to understanding it

Well when it looked like GM may not make I figured years worth of various chevy magazines might be worth something so I gathered them all up and saved them. My architecture, motor trend, and car and driver go in the trash as soon as the next issue arrives.

Send a message via AIM to LS 1st gen
My car magazine collection is like a research library, or at the very least something for my unborn kids to look at after I kick the bucket....hopefully a long time from now.

I keep mine in these:

It's basically like those long comic boxes but these are wider for magazines. I've got tons of Maxim, Blender, FHM, Stuff, Men's Health, MacWorld, Guitar Worlds in there.
