That would cost a lot, I'd wait to see if it is offered down the road.

Not everyone cares about the paperwork or originality of a car. Not everyone is a car collector and entusiast. Apparently you know nothing of the Custom Car market. Take that to the bank.

The thing is you are not talking about a custom car. you are talking about repainting a new Camaro a different FACTORY color from original.. Big difference there...

You would lose less money if you just sold your and buy a green one from the factory. Never do a color change if you care at all about the value. Already said here many times...

A custom car is a passenger vehicle that has been modified in either of the following two ways. First, a custom car may be altered to improve its performance, often by altering or replacing the engine and transmission. Second, a custom car may be a personal "styling" statement by the re-styler/re-builder, making the car look "unique" and unlike any car that might have been factory finished.

Changing the color of the paint that was not offered on that car from the factory would be considered custom.

My guess then is that the guy on here that painted his car the same color as the Bumblebee transformers car lost a ton of value on his car too. Judging by your statement that car plummeted in value.

How do I know if it was just a color change or all smashed up and put back together.
This car is pretty worthless then. Who knows if he smashed it up, the car was in pieces.

(end of sarcasm)

Looks like pages worth of people that love what hes has done. My guess is he could sell it for alot more than what he paid for the car. This would be an appreciation of value, not a depreciation as many of you think. Not all paint jobs ruin a cars value, especially if its done right.

The green is ok. I sure wouldn't pop 10k to have it done to my car though.

Apparently you missed the definition of a custom car, so i posted it again. Repainting a car a color not offered in that model from the factory is custom.

Yes it will - first, cars are generally worth more as their factory color, especially if it's a rare car or color. second, you would lose money since it would be a $8-9K paint job, and nobody would pay you anything extra when they could just get a synergy green edition, third - when selling nobody would want a synergy green camaro when it's not the synergy edition.

If you decide to paint it it's your choice but I doubt you will get back any money you put into it paint wise.

We arent talking about the cost of the paint but the value of the car itself. Noone has been able to debunk the value of this car. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...umblebee+paint.

You say noone would want a color unless it was part of that edition. So what you are saying is noone would want this car because it isnt the transformers edition.
