I personally have driven almost every type of chevy car there is when i worked at a dealership. When i took the Z06 out it was fast dont get me wrong but aside from the heads up display and speed i wasnt to impressed. Ive taken the base vettes out and they are nothing to get super excited about. They drive nice and have a decent speed but for the same price might as well get a fully loaded 2SS. Corvettes are the most common car out there if you pick up a used car magazine you have 5 pages of just corvettes. Dont get me wrong its a GREAT car just not for me i prefer the curves of a nice new camaro... or a 69

I could have bought a Corvette for what I paid for my loaded 2SS gfx Camaro. I took my daughter for a ride in a 'vette with her lying in the back but for some reason, she didn't like it...

I have had the car since July so have had allot of these questions asked. When people ask me what i paid i just tell them the SS price starts at 31K and i choose the corvette LS3 V-8...never gotten the corvette question that way.

All the random people have no idea what you are talking about when you mention 1SS, 1SS/RS, 2SS, 2SS/RS. Most just want to hear 426hp V-8 and Manual tranny...

No backseat in the Corvette. Wife wouldn't let me buy a car with no room for the little one.

Russ, I've grown to love the "why didn't you buy X" question. I've learned that if you simply ask them, "Well, why didn't you buy one?" that you can turn the conversation and get them to freely admit they are unsatisfied with what they are driving yet you are driving your dream car. A lot of people don't have the ability to pull themselves up so they try to drag you down.

why didn't you wait for the 2011 mustang?

Just kidding. I guess that is a good thing about a honda, nobody really bothers you about what is in your car, because it.... well.... it's a honda.

Radams- Good response, I had not thought of that one.

On a side note....maybe I was raised differently, but I have NEVER asked anyone what they paid for their car. I am not offended when someone asks me, but it still kind of shocks me that someone would be so bold. What's next....how much do you make a year to pay for a car like that??

Fully loaded 2SS >>>>> base stripper C6 in my book. Plus you're looking at another 5-10k. I can easy smoke the performance of a C6 for 10k into my Camaro.
