Sorry about not getting back sooner. Friday my dad called up the Quirk in Braintree and asked if we could buy the car from them and they could bring it down from NH, and they said they would.

So yesterday around 2pm we went to the one in Braintree, and to make a long story short after 4 hours I got the car I wanted, for what to me seems like a decent price (2LT RS silver striping imperial blue for $29,900) at least I hoping so anyways. They are supposed to flatbed the car to Braintree so I should have only about 10 miles on it.

I believe its the one that is currently sitting outside (it has the VIN ending with 91). So me and my dad are going up on Wednesday (mom's birthday tomorrow) to pick it up.

Congrats! Nice looking car! Invoice is $29,013 including shipping. They added the stripes and charge $895 so the total is $29,908. So it looks like you paid invoice for the car but they made a few dollars off you on the stripes. Still a pretty good deal.

Enjoy!

Thanks. Now I just have to wait 3 days. These 3 days are going to take forever. The invoice they showed me on the car was $29,300 or something like that, and that's not including the stripes.

Here is the car:

Stripes were added after market so they were looking for like 31,300 or something in that area.

Edmunds is off by $50 for some reason but invoice should have been around $29,000. Edmunds shows MSRP at $30,410, $50 higher than Quirk shows at $30,360 so by right invoice should be $28,963.

The window sticker at the dealer with the stripes was $31,255 so you are correct it would have been around $31,300.

All in all you're right there. The dealer told me the stripes come from GM but from some reason as a seperate item.

3 days, funny! So far I've waiting 4 weeks. Another 2 to 3 weeks to go.

Well it will be ready tomorrow, but its my moms birthday so we are supposed to go after I get out of work on Wednesday to pick it up since it will be nicer than on Tuesday. Man I couldn't imagine having to wait another 2 or 3 more weeks. I told myself this Saturday I'm buying it or I quit.

Wish I had mine this weekend as it's suppose to hit 70 again. So you have a nice weekend to drive coming up.

Can't wait, me and my dad are going to have just cruise around for a little bit. By then I hope to have my engine broken in a little more (I drive 120 miles each day).

BTW were you given options on like extending warranty, tires, theft, and a couple of others?

As for Quirk I kind of feel bad that I gave them so much trouble, guess it is kind of expected though. Overall I had a pretty good experiance espically for my first time, they gave me some deals including I was supposed to get $1000 off because my sister owns a saturn, but since she doesn't live at our house any more they wouldn't be able to use it so the manager gave us $500 off instead. Probably got one of the best deals I could have gotten since they are so big and move so much inventory.

If you are in the Boston area I would say to go talk to them, they are pretty friendly and at the end of the month you can definitly negotiate a good price.

Congratulations on your recent Camaro purchases. To answer a few of the previous questions: Quirk NH has a fantastic service department with over 30 bays in our Chevrolet Department. We also have one of the largest parts departments on the East Coast (anyone who has been working on Chevy's for a while may know us as Dobles, our former ownership). We have Parts and Service open on Saturdays, free wireless internet access, a diner inside our service waiting area, free local shuttle, on site rentals, and a 50 car indoor showroom to check out while you wait. You can also schedule parts and service online at www.quirkchevynh.com. Our Sales Department is open 7 days a week including most holidays. We are willing to order Camaro's at Preferred pricing for all Camaro5 members through our Internet Department. We will currently sell any of our in stock Camaro's within $500 of invoice, no hassle, no haggle. We have also worked with customers to ship vehicles all throughout the US and even a lightly used Camaro to Germany. You can check out our current Camaro inventory anytime here. Thanks RJ for recommending us throughout the forum.

Normally options like extended warranty, tires, theft, etc is done at the time of purchase. Since I ordered my car this won't happen until it comes in.

I can say Quirk was very easy to do business. Both Jim my sales guy and Tim the sales manager have been great to deal with. I got a great deal (well we'll see once I trade in my car) I ordered some parts from Steve who also gave me a discount and was also great to deal with as well. Even help me carry my parts to my car. I knew tham as Dobles as our local Corvette Club was supported by Dobles for years.

My car is suppose to be built this week, can't wait.

If they say no to you with you in front of them, then they won't move when you go home. Find another dealer.

Also in regards to Invoice pricing on Edmunds or other third party websites. They don't include Advertisement or Local DMA fees, which typically add up to 1.5-3% of the vehicle's invoice price based on the area you are purchasing in. On a 35,000 vehicle, that difference can be as much as $900 or so. If a dealer shows you the invoice, the price listed next to the numbers 310 are the actual invoice price that the dealer has financed the vehicle at.
