WOW, a whole single HP. Release the damn code so we can tune the V6 and that edge is gone. Add an exhaust and CAI and with a tune and the Camaro is still ahead. Not to mention that I can drive from one side of town to the other and I pass 200 Mustangs but the kids still all jump up and down when a new Camaro rolls past. I'll toss Paramount props for that, point being is that mustangs are a dime a dozen (or three).

The two companies have to keep playing us. That keeps us buying. Like I said before they are in it together.

It'd be funny if C5/Motortrend misinterpreted Fitzpatrick's quote and the real trump card Chevy will pull is reducing weight, or even they'll make the MPG of the V8 beat the Mustang GT with more HP... That'd be funny if they pull a fast one like that..

I already get 31 MPG from my 2010 Camaro V6! Actually managed closer to 33 the other day. I'm sure GM can get the 'official' mileage above 30 with minimal adjustments...

And, all things considered, if you get a Mustang with a V6 that gets nearly the same mileage and almost exactly the same HP, you're still stuck driving around in a Mustang...

well, whatever it is..I hope its something that can be easily applied to my 2010!!
*fingers crossed**

That said, for those of you out there that have not spent much time in the V6 threads, the current GM tune is very well optimized. Tuners have stated that unless additional bolt ons or power adders or put on the car, theres no real noticeable power to be had with just tuning a stock car.

Not to say that I don't think GM couldn't tweak something, or do a tranmission tweak to get a few more HP or a firmer transmission shift (for automatics)...but honestly if they are just going add 2 more horses, I don't see the point. It changes nothing.

They either need a weight reduction, or go from 304, to say 315 to 320 horses with the same increase in torque. That should help things a bit.
