What about programing the sensors. MUST be done by dealer, or can whatever shop I take it to, do it? And are the sensors I got from you, the tires, and the new wheels all I need to take with me? Will the tire shop have the rest?

PQ, your sensors arrived. I'll ship them out this week to you. Savini usually includes TPMS mounting adapters, so you should be good to go on the tire shop. Tires, sensors, wheels, adapters.

You can actually reprogram the sensors on a Camaro yourself. Instructions in the owners manual. You know, that book nobody ever reads. LOL

Otherwise, any good tire store should have a TPMS resetting tool. It is an electronic device, it pings the sensors and wakes them up.

I sell new TPMS sensors with billet aluminum stems for $35 each plus shipping. Nicer quality stuff than the OEM rubber junk.

Hmmm, very interesting. I'm wondering how those would look on the wheels I have ordered, pretty good I'm thinking

Would you please PM me additional cost, hopefully there isn't a long wait for the sensors

Piece of cake actually. Start the car and use the menu button on the left stalk to switch to the tire pressure view screen on the DIC. Then press the button at the end of the left stalk to reset the system. It will prompt you with a YES or NO and you twist the stalk to highlight the YES and the select button on the end of the stalk to confirm IIRC (it might be the menu select button on the face). The car will honk at you twice to confirm RELEARNING is in progress.

It can take up to 5 mins for the readings on the DIC to change. I happens faster when you drive the car after (why I said start the car! )

I just ordered a set of wheels and tires off of tire rack, they installed the sensors. Will i be able to reset them myself if they're not the same set of sensors in the stock wheels and tires?

Hi, I replaced the 4 sensors and a couple of days ago I got one not giving the reading after trying to reset tem that one could not get the horn sound no matter what I do. Now I will reput one of the old ones while waiting to get all new 4 of them.

I have seen some brands that may cost a little mor of the 35 I paid for the full set.

I wonder if there is a big difference or better perfoamce or durability by choosing the metal valves instead of rubber ?

Is is one of the options I have looked at

MORESENSOR Signature Series 315MHz TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor 4-Pack | Preprogrammed for Select 500+ American Brand Models | Replacement for 20925924 20922900 15268606 | Clamp-in | NX-S024-4 https://a.co/d/452hu5L

And this are the ones o replace and failed on me

ROADFAR Tire Presure Sensor 315MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor (TPMS) Fits for Buick for Chevrolet for GMC for Pontiac & More Replaces# 13598771 13598772 13586335 Sets of 4 https://a.co/d/86VqPoD

This is another of those things I wouldn't buy on Amazon or Ebay (along with ignition parts and lifters). Unless you can break down your tires yourself. Have you compared to known name brands on Rockauto? Although Mexico might be a problem.

Standard has been around a very long time. But I don’t what the quality is like currently. I would definitely take that risk over super cheap unknown Amazon parts though even at a lot higher price.

You can get the valve stem out yourself, but you will wreck them in doing so

I don't know if it's a bad one on E-bay.
It's still just a sales portal. For example, I bought a HUF TPMS set years ago and they are absolutely fine

Just to much of a chance of counterfeit or crap parts. Not saying that good parts aren't available but it's a gamble. I also think it's gotten a lot worse over the last few years.

No offense. But you can buy counterfeit parts anywhere and in any store and internet portal.
A nice box, an appropriately high price, and the customer will be satisfied that he is not buying cheap junk.

This is just about people.
