Nine speakers with the BA system. Sounds GREAT and well worth the extra $500 to me. I mean you are buying a kick-ass car, you need kick-ass speakers to go with it!!!

I got the BA upgrade in my 1SS, and it's worth every penny. The 9 speaker system is awesome, you can hear the true distinction of highs coming from the tweeters, voice from the center speaker. My only complaint is the bass is decent, not great. I have sat in both mine, and a 1LT with the regular system, and unless you are gonna spend a couple grand on a killer system, I think the $495 is money well spent

I love my stereo. It sounds good enought & loud enought for me. It's the best car stereo I ever had. I spent more than that for an aftermarket one for my other car & the camaro's stereo blows it away. Just go to the dealer and try it out. Bring some of your music.

Where are the nine speakers? I can only find 7.

I have the base system. Definitely not as good as the Bose system in my '95 Camaro.

However, I intentionally stayed with the base system because I prefer the surround sound system from the two pipes out the back end combined with the center channel V-8 under the hood.

It really rocks!

i heard it wasnt that good so i bought a 12 inch subwoffer with a 1500 watt amp to install when i get my camaro

The head unit is the same between the two..the speakers and amps are different.

extra pair of tweeters in the rear woofers make 9

I own an LS and the sound system is good, IMO. Enough to hurt my ear. You can feel the bass.

I have the BA system; I think it is good for a stock system. This is the first system that I did not have replacements waiting to be put in. However, I do have the following getting ready when I get tired of the system (unless someone buys it).

Sub
Kicker L7 10
Front Speakers
Kicker SS65.5 comps
Rears
Kicker RS65.2 comps
Amps
Mids and highs ZX650.4
Sub ZX 750.1
This is the system I had in my Accord but with the battery being in the trunk it is so tempting to put in now.
