You should not have any problems. They are not as good as K&N claims though.

Simply installing a CAI won't void your warranty. However, I always recommend to customers to read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and to also speak to your service manager before installing any parts.

Please check out our LSR CAI, we offer a kit that can be used both with or without a tune:

  • ~15HP & 12 ft/lbs TQ Max Gains at the Wheels with no tuning, ~35HP & 38 ft/lbs TQ Peak Gains at the Wheels with tuning
  • High-flow Lifetime Air Filter
  • Velocity-Stack Inlet smooths incoming air
  • Made in the USA
  • Lifetime Warranty

Let me know if I can help you with anything.

only thing I have ever seen a Hot Air Intake do is make more noise and reduce MPG..

true Cold Air comes from under the car, most of these systems are pulling hot air from the engine bay..

That Cold Air Inductions one looks to be a sealed box.. Roto-Fab and some of the others that just have an open filter (or one that is supposed to seal against the hood) just suck engine bay hot air from my testing on several of my vehicles.

Both of the systems you just mentioned basically have the same overall design concept (heat shield, open box using hood as seal). I think you need to check out our products, everything about our design is different than the majority of the competition (ceramic coated intake tube, enclosed airbox with filter inspection window and removable lid, airbox is insulated, filter that includes a built in velocity stack and smooth bore tube stop). Check us out at www.ColdAirInductions.com and find out why we are the best choice for your Camaro, as well as the most popular. Let me know if you have any questions.

+1

yours is nice for sure.. I like that is has it's own seal on the top. checked the install instructions and see it is not a full box, but the design seems to be a little better than the open filter ones.

in my case though, I cannot justify $400 for an air intake system when the factory one works fine..

BUT

I'm not going to be showing off my engine bay to anyone but my mechanic, nor will I be tracking my car so in general heat soak is not an issue for me..

The exterior of my car will be modded to my liking because I don't want to look like every other Camaro I see on the road, but beyond that it will stay stock.

So yeah I get it, and yours is one of the nicer looking ones, and appears to be a little more of a true cold air device..
