Thanks all! Ya know at the track, nobody calls my car a sissy boy car. I get people who come up to me all the time, the big boys who run 11's who look over my car and say how beautiful it is. Some came over today and asked how I was doing, when I told them I broke into the 13s one guy actually shook my hand and said that's awesome.

The V6 Camaro gets respect where it counts.

As for the 60' time... how were you launching? You should definitely be in the 2.0x range... maybe even 2.05 or bit lower....

But I am still really impressed with your trap speed! That's a really nice bump from your past runs IIRC...

and thanks for the radio pic! I feel better now! LOL!

BTW... I KNEW you could do it!
The 60' has me a bit frustrated. I can launch on my 0-60 runs without a hitch.

At Atco you can't avoid the water, so I spin the tires a little with T/C off to clean them. On the 13.9xx I forgot to put T/C back on but got a decent launch. On another run I left T/C off but the tire/tires broke loose and I bailed on the run.

It seems that I got the better run with T/C off with a half decent launch

I launch from idle. For my third time out I just may need more track time .

Thanks for the info.

Yep, launching at the track can be a completely different animal... which is why I smile at the guys that think they can just show up at a track and rip off a magazine ET their first time out!

I'm surprised you can't avoid the water? Most tracks I've been to make if very clear that you need to avoid the water with street tires!

I think with practice you will get your 60' down... also try experimenting with your air pressure in the rear tires... and I would take your front tires up to like 45 or 50!

Can't vouch for the accuracy...

http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

Plugging in the 67's number you come up with 5.22 which is very close to my 0-60 from my Dashhawk... so I'm thinking it's pretty close...

That's one small step for a man...one giant leap for Camaro-kind.

Congrats and I am very jealous.

I remember when the car was still in production and the best 0-60 magazine time was 5.7 for a manual. Now it seems like sub 5.3 for a modded automatic is to be expected.

I love this car!

Congrats on a great run!! Nice to see it official!! Also, like you, my car gets respect at the drag strip. I just wish it was a quarter mile one, lol. People are pretty surprised when I tell them it's the v6!

Officially yes. Unofficially, no, lol. I gotta plug my unofficial DashHawk runs into the 13's, lol. Do they count? No, of course not. I still gotta plug 'em, lol.

Again, congrats man!! Way to break into the 13s first!!
