I have a question. From looking at the CM website, there are cheaper options. Ted/CM: for my supercharged car, what if I just want the meth injection/tank and maybe a gauge to keep an eye on it, but don't need all the bells and whistles of the programmable cmgs fs? Is there a "lower down" package that would meet my needs? I don't plan on using all the various adjustments that the fs package offers. I would like to install it and not have to change the settings - just fill the tank when it gets low.

Yea there are lower models that run off a boost switch. I used the basic kit on my last car though the camaro going to get the bells and whistles..
Call Jannetty Im sure he run through all the options with you..

I agree Meth is a great performance upgrade because your not just getting power but your getting the safety of higher octane

The CMGS FS IS a gauge. The beauty of the CMGS fs is that you get the monitoring that you want along with the progressive ability and so forth. You dont need to "program" the unit. due to the fact that we built all of the features into 1, you get a very good bang for the buck. If you buy a basic kit there is no "progressive" output, its fixed rate...ON / OFF. Since the CMGS has the progressive output and the monitoring you want, I am sure its more of a fit for you.

As a plus, the CMGS is a boost gauge so if you dont have a boost gauge you can see your boost. If you do have a boost gauge, the CMGS can replace it.

You should read up on the features of all of our kits, if one of the basic ones suits your needs better than go for it, however the features of the CMGS will make it a far better value.

Also, please note, you dont change the CMGS settings. You install it, set it up and its done. It gives you the easy ability to change them but you usually dont unless your setup changes.

the mist is not higher octane its not even a perfprmance part its a safey factor. it cools IAT so he doesnt end up like Rick Flair and blow a motor.

Cooling Mist or Ted, What do you guys reccommend in the way of a meth / water mixtue for optimal performance? I'm at 75 % meth and 25% water right now.

Thanks guys!

umm meth has a higher octane then gas so it does raise oct when you spray..
that and the added cooling helps for safety to prevent knock..

Nice article comparing Meth inj to race fuel

Thanks guys!

since your car is tuned by Jannetty, the answer they give is the one you go with. For me I go with 50/50. water is excellent as anti-detonation, meth/alcohol raises your effective octane level. It allows you to run lower octane. Water is slow to evaporate and has a lasting effect. Alcohol cools instantly but then burns. Using both IMHO is the best of both worlds. Not everyone agrees with me, its like the "supercharger vs turbo" argument that will never be solved.

You Def don't want to cut corners on a build like yours.

The simple on off kits just don't do well in boost applications.

Ted.

Meth is 133 octane at 100% but once you add water in there and go 50/50 then that cuts it in half and on top of that whats the spray % coming out of the nozzle vs the spray coming from all 8 injectors there isnt enough meth in the air mixture to add octane. so that comes back to its a cooling agent more then any thing. and you dont tune for water met its a safety factor.

I had a cooling mist kit on my RX-7 93' 428 rwhp MONSTER..... that was one of the best investments i bought. It keeps the temps down LOW you can get too much hotter than a rotary spooling 18psi. trust me it works
