My little nephew did the same thing. My mom pulled up with him and i saw his jaw drop and go WOOOOOOOOWWWW. I asked if he wanted to ride to the house with me and he FREAKED out jumping up and down screaming. I buckled him up and he looked at me with the most serious look and said "back this puppy up and go for it." I couldnt stop laughing.

Cool how much the car appeals to a REAL young generation lol

Tells me one thing: in 20, 30, even 40 years, this car will still be desirable.

Kids(and to a lesser extent the teachers) are always talking about and pointing at the Camaro when I pick up my daughter(7 years old)from school. One day I heard a little boy say to my daughter "Don't take the Camaro for granted"...lol That was funny.
Another day a boy said to her "ooh you have a Camaro"

I get the same thing picking my 7 year old son up from school. The kids all freak out...bumblebee, bumblebee. It's definitly funny to watch their reactions. The other day I had a minivan roll up next to me at a light, the mom rolled down the back window and there was a little boy about 4 or 5 years old laughing and giving me a thumbs up .

I remember picking up my little brother up after school once, and all the elementary school kids were awestruck.

Hah, awesome thread!

My first kid moment was when I pulled into a Sonic Drive-In on a Saturday afternoon. There was a Little League baseball team eating at the tables. This is what happened.

I pull in.

Kids all go "Whoa!!!!"

One kid goes "Mom! Mom! That's Bumblebee!"

Kid runs over to look at it. I wave at him.

"That thing is wicked!"

Mom leads said kid back to his table. Hah.

I work at a Middle School so you can only imagine the looks and comments I get from the kids. I've also had my car since last Spring.

We have a ton of kid's in our area that are huge Transformer Fan's (heck I'm one myself). Even though mine won't be the Transformers Edition, I'm sure it will catch some of the kid's eyes when I bring it home.

I was driving my car through a small country town last weekend and rolled up slowly to a stop light. A little boy about 8 years old came out of a building across the street. He looked up, saw my car, and stopped to stare. His eyes got very big and his mouth dropped open. He looked stunned. After a couple of seconds he raised his hand and waved. When I waved back he grinned really big as the light turned green and I drove away. I think this must have been a "Transformers Moment."

I've had the same things happen with my car ... Been approached at least a dozen times now by parents with kids. The look on the kids faces makes it all worth while. They love having their pics taken with the car ... For me it was actually my 15 year old that talked me into getting the Transformer Edition ...

I get a kick out of the reaction from other kids when I pick my son up from soccer. I also have a kid that lives about a block from where I work who knocks on my office window and wants to talk about my "Corvette." Hey, at least he's a car buff in the works!
