Lol No problem 02bluess, i think if someone got the black to be that smooth as the one from texas, they would have such a beautiful car, would just be a high maintenance colour though, IOM for me, i want to see how those rims would look in chrome, im getting polished then getting the face painted black by my girlfriends uncle. By the way, i plan on blacking out the tailight trim, looks so badass!

Polishing rims with Midnight Silver Finish...

What would you recommend when it comes to shining the polished aluminum wheels with the midnight silver finish? I've heard that aluminum polish is not good because of the coating...

Here is a couple shots of mine with Polished wheels ... You don't need to use any wax or polish on the wheels. Just wash them with soap and water, dry and maybe use a little detail spray for water spots ...

So what should we do about resurrected threads from the last decade?

Maybe threads with no activity for 12 months should be automatically closed.

I love how people complain about others not using the search feature then complain when some one does and necroposts.

so the midnight silver finish acts as a protective agent essentially? So what you're saying is there is no reason to polish them at all because of the finish?

I've seen oem 20"s in midnight silver, polished, and a gunmetal grey. The broucher only shows midnight silver and polished oem 20"s so that gunmetal grey must just be custom painted.

Your right, midnight silver always looks dirty compared to the polished wheels.
My polished wheels looked like midnight silver after just a few miles. I now have GM chrome plated wheels- They always pop as brake dust doesn't stick to the chrome.

The original poster sold his Camaro, bought a Hyundai, then died of old age. His original question/thought/observation has long been satisfied and forgotten. There is nothing new to add here, and certainly no need to continue a thread from 2008.

But I'll keep posing if you do.
