Camaro V6 Removal of Resonators

Well guys, someone has went into my rear bumper last week and crashed my left Magna flow muffler so I had remove the muffler in order to drive it to the Garage safely.

It sounded like a V8 Mustang.

In response to the OP, all of my research on exhaust design tells me that the shop you talked to is only half correct. From everything I've read, the resonators on a modern exhaust system are put in place to quiet idle tone with the additional affect of reducing rasp and lowering exhaust pitch. So removing your resonators will not make your exhaust louder and deeper, but louder, higher pitch, and raspier.

The camaro may be different from the norm, but this is the way it seems to affect most vehicles.

leave the resonators and replace the mufflers or eliminate them...
