I didn't get one because:
1. Sun gets in your eyes a lot 2. More glass to clean 3. I probably used it maybe a month out of the year in my previous car 4. It really doesn't cool you down much! |

If the sunroof opened inside the headliner and did'nt stick out above the roof it would'nt look so bad. Plus,I like the look of the reverse mohawk much better.

Such a personal preference. I'm not tall, so height isn't an issue. I loved the T-Tops in my '82 Camaro, so wanted the open roof - had sunroofs in most of my vehicles. I got the sunroof. It's only closed on longer highway runs and when it's raining (yes, I drive my car in the rain and it hasn't melted yet
)I like it! I keep the shade closed when it's too hot out. I even leave it cracked with the A/C on to let the heat out. it does take away from the roof lines though...but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. I like my sunroof!

on other cars I like them but on the camaro it ruins the look of the roof, so no sunroof for me.

I was going to order my car without one, but found one on the lot that had everything else I wanted plus the sunroof. I really enjoy it and have use it a lot in the 2 months that I've owned the car.

Love having my sunroof. I won't buy a car without one after having them on previous cars....having a black car with black interior it's great on those 50 degree days when it's too cold for the windows to be down, but hot inside the car.
I'm about 6'1" and have no problems with headroom...and the actual sunroof is quite nice, quiet, operates well, I'm impressed with it.

I have had three cars with sunroofs and never used them. To me it detracts from the appearance, but that is just my opinion.

I use my sunroof everyday. With the side windows being smaller I find having the sunroof open brings in more air.

I had to get the sun roof - it was one of the reasons I ended up ordering my car. My daily commute is only 20mins each way, so unless it is really, really hot, I drive with the windows down and the roof open. The extra light in the black interior is a bonus. My daughter likes it because she can see the sky and the clouds.
I'm 5'9" and I normally always wear a hat. My head doesn't brush the roof, but if I stop hard enough, I may bump the roof a bit. That's the only annoying part. My last car, a 2000 Monte Carlo also had the sunroof, and for 10years, it never leaked. I'm not to worried about this one. It is definitely a personal decision, and you came to the right place to get feed back. But try out both. My recommendation - GET IT!

Was ordering my Camaro and had decided not to get a sunroof because I was worried about the reduced headroom. Just as we were finishing up, a recent customer pulled up at the dealership in a CGM with a sunroof. I went out and explained my delima. The owner let me sit in his and check the clearance.
Really wanted the sunroof for more light and option to feel the wind in my hairs (all three of them). Ran in and had the sales manager change my order to include the roof. Love it.

I prefer the look of the Camaro without the sunroof. It's too big for such a small roof. Might not look bad on a dark colored car. I have one in my Sclade and use it as weather permits.
