Wow you guys down shift all the way to 3rd while doing 70 mph. Lol and I was worried about down shifting to 4th while doing 70mph!!
Let me ask you this, what rpm do you guys run when just cruisin at normal speeds (not trying to pass)? I keep my car around 1500-2500 rpm during normal driving conditions (just cruisin). Thanks again for the info guys |

Nothing wrong with going into 3rd at 70..it's actually perfect and about where you would shift from 2nd anyway. Cruising...depends..for economy I keep it below 2000,and as low as 1000-1200...just don't lug the engine...if you are cruising at 1200 in 5th or 6th and need to quickly speed up...down shift. Anything above 45 mph for an extended period and I am in 6th..
