And I would recommend using a "soft interface" on the jacking device. To prevent scratching through the undercoat/paint and gouging the frame/jack points. I simply use a woven fabric door mat doubled-up and laid over the jack!

Use a hockey puck to cushion the jack pad.

Someone has aftermarket sways

Good post though, because I wasn't using any of those points to jack up my car OR to put it on jack stands.

A properly sized buffing pad would do the trick.

Thanks for the pics. Two questions about lifting the rear:

1) The point you are using in the rear for the floor jack, does it lift the entire rear of the car enough to put both jack stands, or did you need to lift the right and left sides separately? See what I mean?

2) I don’t have any pieces of wood or a hockey puck laying around to use as a buffer, is that a problem?

Thanks again!

I used the same jack stand points as the OP, but I lift the rear of the car from the differential. You can check it out HERE

Thank you but I heard that lifting from the differential could damage the car

Hey, I'm also wondering about this. I've heard some people say use the differential and others saying don't because it's an alluminum housing and could be damaged.
