That raises an interesting question. If they wait until August of 2010 to start building 2011 models, that means that 2010 model year production would have run for about 17 months. The last time I saw a similar situation was when the 2nd generation F-bodies weren't ready for 1970 model year production in August of 1969 and they continued to build 1969 models until the end of 1969. Could be that the 2010 models have the longest run in the models history?

To long to wait for the Blue, I still cant get over that. ordering an SS with all the bells and whistles and cant get the color thats on a lesser model. why do that ?

There was this same situation with the enclaves.. they came out as 08's in spring/summer 07 and went to normal MY switchover this year...

i am waiting as well, but its not for color or Options its for the VERT lol.

They better have a blue vert with a big fact Z28 on the side of it.

I asked this question while in Indy and they said that June/July ordering and August/September delivery was the answer... they also said that this was the target launch for the 'vert, too, so look for HUD, parking assist and 'vert to be added around that time... and I'm told that a color or two might be added at that time... but that's still speculation at this point in the game.

oh, and the right hand, global launch car should be added around this time, too... so our friends in Australia and Europe should be able to order theirs around this time to be delivered in the Sept/Oct timeframe.
