Only way to get true exact stats is to run a GMVIS on each TF model to see its option codes. I'm in the middle of working on this with some of the other Corvette GT1 owners (thank goodness there are only 125 of those cars) and its a matter of finding a dealer(s) that are willing to run a few at a time. One dealer helped me by running all 17 convertibles that were produced on the GT1 cars...made documenting my car so much easier.

With the number of these cars, you're looking at a pretty big order. You'd need a list of all VINs with the TF option code and then you could run the info. As the TF cars didn't have specific VIN codes (thank you thank you GM for this feature on the GT1 cars), you are facing a tough battle for the info you are seeking.

Its doable, just not a fun undertaking. Good luck! I'm really interested to see just how many of the cars were produced...last I knew a dealer down the road still had one they had used as a demo driver on their lot.

You would think that GM's computers could filter out the information rather easily? Sort of the same way a dealer would find a specific model for a buyer.

What does GM do if a car has a part that is found to be dangerous if a car is equipped a certain way? They have to have a way of sorting all the cars built by option codes. If they don't...They need to hire better computer programmers. For them it should be easy...For us laymen.... not so easy.

If GM doesn't break it down it is because they don't want to spend the 30 minutes or less that it would take to filter and record the data or their computer specialists need to upgrade their programs because they are outdated.

Wait a minute! I just remembered something! I now remember how I was contacted and advised that my wife's Acadia had a recall because of a problem with something to do with the gear shifter. So I took off work without pay to take it into the dealer. Had to get a friend to help me get to and from the dealer. When 5 hours later, I'm called to pick it up. When I arrived, I'm told that our Acadia's gearshift had the newer part already installed and was ok. Sooooooo maybe GM really doesn't have a clue what parts they put on which vehicle at the factory! It's pretty sad and now I'm depressed. Please GM, I see all these codes and tags on half of the parts on my camaro, so please start tracking them as their installed.

As i posted on the other thread with these number..

These Numbers don't add up!

542+808+72+331 = 1753 US + 132 (Non-us) = 1885 Total Sold

545+882+72+345 = 1844 Total Sold

If you subtract US sale from total sales individually even the Non US numbers are wrong
545-542 = 3
882-808 = 74
72-72 = 0
345-331 = 14

Total = 91 not 132

91 + 1753 does total 1844

So where did 1916 and 132 come from?

Think i will wait till: fbodfather drops Numbers

Not sure I understand the math - not enough coffee this morning. But did you account for the US number being the first number presented and the second number presented is total produced including US?

It seems your calcs are showing the number sold outside the US?

EDIT - I think I wrapped my brain around it, time for a nap that was exhausting.

I too would like to know how many Tranformers were built. I called Oshawa Car Assembly and did not have any luck. If anyone ever gets the information I sure would like to know. Thanks!

2SS Transformer Manual Transmission built December 2009.
