Good lord man, put that filter back on. The purpose of the filter is to keep crap out of the engine, so unless you removed the 2nd inlet along with the 2nd filter you're going to put all kinds of crap in your engine.

Where did you get that cai anyways?

No man i took the y tube off lol. Ha i wouldnt leave that hole open. I think all the problems were with the sensor being the wrong way? Should i try for 2 filters again now that the sensor is on right? Or should i just leave it at one?

I'd leave it with the one filter. I can imagine having the air flow from the two filters converging directly in front of the MAF is adding all kinds of turbulence that will throw off the MAF reading. The Mazdaspeed community knows all about having turbulence at the MAF.

This is why I would pay the extra money and get a reputable brand... Sigh.

First things first -- what intake is that?

Next, go ahead and try the second filter, though I don't really know how it would help your performance -- but it does look cool.

I put a CAI intake on mine. No codes. Car runs great. IMHO, it's a good idea to pay a bit and get an intake that has been well tested and researched.

That system looks "cool"... but twin filters for a V6? And the air going in the intake is super heated from the engine compartment and traveling down a super heated metal pipe....thats a HAI.
