vanity plates are like decals on cars - putting your personality on your car opens you up to be judged. That's just the way it is. I'd rather keep my private life private.

oops...

There was a guy in California that applied for a vanity plate. He decided if he couldn't get his first choice he didn't want one... so he put "NONE" for his other other choices (you could put like 3 choices on the form). Well of course he didn't get his first choice so he ended up with the plate "NONE"....

Well... all of a sudden this guy starts getting all kinds of parking tickets! Turns out when the police were filling out tickets for abandoned vehicles instead of writing "No Plate" (like the were supposed to) they would just write down "NONE".... yep... and guess who got the tickets!!! LOL

A girl in town must work for a title company. Her vanity plate was meant to say
TITLEGAL. However, you can also read it as TIT LEGAL! Bet she never thought of that first!

If I get a private plate, it will look like a regular plate. Just the combination of letters and numbers will mean something to me but to nobody else.

According to snopes there have been several cases of similar things happening with personalized tags. Like "MISSING", "NO TAG", and "NONE"
