Here in BC if it turns red WHILE you were in the intersection you failed to heed the amber. That is a points infraction and $$$.

Yellow means you need to stop...not speed up.

I was watching a show (think it might have been mythbusters) where they were trying to beat the traffic cameras and needed a top fuel rail car to beat it!

If it makes you feel any better...they have those evil cameras at EVERY red light here in south Florida. I go through a yellow light at least once a day, haven't gotten a ticket so yet. (knock, knock)

It's because he is going through the yellow light which is perfectly legal. Yellow does not mean stop, it is just a warning that the light WILL BE turning red. In Illinois anyways as long as your wheels have broken the plane of the intersection you are clear to go without getting a ticket.

Good luck. Not many of those camera's in NC (thank goodness) and the ones that do have a sign posted that the next intersection uses a photo camera.

first of all, no plates USUALLY equals no ticket. they don't have the quality to zoom into the VIN i think. now just as a fyi, this ticket would not affect your insurance at all. it is a non moving violation, something with the cops not being there.
