The MBRP S7024304 is designed for the LS99 and I can confirm there is no drone at all. I couldnt hear it kick in and only once did i think it did. So if you like the deep sound of the MBRP you will be safe putting it on an A6

I am pretty happy with my MBRP set. There is some drone when AFM kicks in when the engine is under more load than normal, like with a strong head wind, or going over an overpass. At first start up seems bad too, even the rear view mirror will vibrate. Other than that it is pretty good. I have JBA shorties and RotoFab CAI, so it is a bit louder anyway.
