IMHO - don't complain about an SS gas mileage. You are bought a freak'n V8...come on. Sell your Camaro and buy a SMART car

Sorry, I haven't had anything to bitch about.

Overall i have been averaging around 22mpg and have hit as high as 26.7 on the highway on longer trips.

Yeah i probably drive like a grandma. But not always!

I've got the 1SS M6 and about 4000 miles and I get 10-11.5mpg on average. Still no complaints on my side

I can't find the pic anymore, so I'll just add the link. I also have one in the 3's, but I can't find that on either! Don't worry, I'll get another one just like it soon!!!

My trailblazer gets 11 miles per gallon.

Does that make you feel better?

Do you want better gas mileage? The answer is so simple. You only need to change 1 item. If you have an SS, replace the 3.23 (automatic) or 3.43 (manual) ring and pinion set with a 2.73 ring and pinion. You WILL get better gas mileage. The downside is that you will add about .25 seconds to your 1/4 mile times and you will feel a real difference in your seat of the pants dynomometer. Do this and drive like Granny Clampett and you will get improved gas mileage. If you are worried about gas mileage in your muscle car you probably should have bought a Prius.

i agree. i have seen a few threads so far about people crying there gas milege isnt where they want it. i have a 05 trailblazer 6 cyl for a daily driver, and at best 16 mpg.

muscle cars suck gas. youd be stupid to think otherwise.

I think it's kind of funny when I hear someone who purchased a MUSCLE CAR complain about their GAS MILEAGE.

I mean, really? What was your last vehicle, a Prius? Of course these cars are not going to get the most amazing gas mileage ever. Historically speaking, 'muscle car' and 'good gas mileage' have been almost completely mutually exclusive. And frankly, you don't buy a muscle car to save money at the gas pump.

That being said, I'm actually amazed at the gas mileage these cars can achieve when treated nicely. But let's face it, who actually drives their Camaro like a granny? If you answer yes to that question, then what's the point?
