depends where you live, i have 12% and cops won;t pull you over just for tint issues...now if you're speeding and pull you over, then they may ticket you for the tint as well

No one ever tries to race me. But that's probably because they've never seen my car before and don't know what to make of it.

Either way, I never raced in the past with my V8 cars, I won't now with my V6.

Don't feel bad guys. It's no different then when a corvette pulls up beside our v-8s and wants to run. That's when I wish I was in my vette. When I'm the in vette it seems like the only guys that want to run are ricers. Go figure.

Anyhow don't sweat it. You still have great rides and your better off keeping it at the track. Let them kill someone or get arrested.

you normally wont get a ticket just for tint. you usually have to get pulled over for speeding, or anything else. then the cop will get you for tint. USUALLY.

Not sure about the torque, but the 4th Gen V8 Stangs had 260hp.

almost every american v8 has been underrated so yes i think you would have probly lost. thats not the issue here, the issue is you didn't street race and i say good on you for that.

The 05-09 Mustang GT was probably under-rated at 300hp. When they first came out, MotorTrend dynoed one at 264 RWHP with an automatic. With a good launch, an 05-09 GT will do about 5 sec. 0-60 and about 13.5@100 in the quarter. I did a run with an accelerometer in an 05 GT, and got 0-60 in 5.4 and a 14.1 quarter with cold tires (it was 15 degrees that day) and admittedly slow, lazy shifts (wasn't my car, so was being more careful than normal not to break anything).

Around my area 90% of all the Stangs are modded ... Even with my LS3 I'd loose unless the driver was just bad ...
