My dealer told me he would have to cancel the existing order and place a new order and get a new order number.

Not sure about this one. I asked mine and he said that until the order got prioritize and dropped to the plant for production it could be changed. He also mentioned that on some Corvettes they have made changes after the order entered production if they could catch it before it hit the appropriate build section. Not saying I would depend on that. It might be a 1 in a whatever shot of doing.

As for the polished vs midnight silver.......

I'm thinking of keeping the MS with the RS package. My car will be black like my 68, but the brake dust on the polished wheels may be a pain. I know it is on chrome.......drive it 10 miles and they look dingy.........shouldn't be the case on the MS wheels hopefully.

I am keeping the dark wheels, I think they will look better with Cyber Gray (damn wine companies I no longer know how to spell grey gray?)

I did this at my dealership he WILL have to cancel the order, and he WILL have to place the new one to get a new order number...BUT you need to make absolutly sure that you are not loosing your spot in the allocation line that you are in. I went from a 1SS to a 2SS, had to cancel it all and get a new number and I kept my spot in line so no harm.

As for the wheels..i agree with the other few on this, I think I will be keeping the MS instead of getting the polished, my car is black with the grey rally stripes and I think it will be a good combo

Not sure if I want to take a chance w/ getting my order cancelled....may just let that polished option go.....I don't see why they just can't modify it in the system...
